12 stations have further been declared as Adarsh stations in Southern Railway. They are Alappuzha, Ambalapuzha, Changanacheri, Cherthala, Gudur, Haripad, Kayankulam, Kochuveli, Mavelikara, Thiruvarur, Thiruvizha & Vayalar. |

Out of 10 more stations to be converted to World Class stations, one station in Southern Railway viz. Ernakulam has been included. |

Multi functional complexes will be constructed in 7 stations in Southern Railway which include Erode, Kasaragod, Mavelikara, Nagercoil, Salem, Tiruchchirappalli Fort and Tiruttani. |

Construction of multi-level parking complexes through the PPP route will also be taken up. |

With a view to provide clean drinking water at stations, six bottling plants will be started at Trivandrum through the PPP route. |
